Three days ago, we could see the grass everywhere. Things can change pretty quickly. Today, we awoke to the 5th largest snow storm in Chicago history! Schools were closed and so was Grampa's office, but he took the train into the city anyhow, because nothing can stop him from getting his job done. Grama's work is never really closed, so she took the SUV to Grayslake and saw lots and lots of patients. Once the sun came started to shine, it was actually a beautiful day.

Of course, since we live in our townhouse, we didn't have to shovel any of it--unlike our poor neighbor, who shoveled his driveway FIVE times yesterday before the Superbowl even started.
And since Punxautawny Phil saw his shadow this morning, looks like it's 6 more weeks of winter. Happy Ground Hog's Day!
